E6The current instrument is one of the fine achievements of the Lorraine organ builder Theodore Haerpfer (1946-1999). This instrument was installed in 1990 to replace the organ of Mutin-Cavaillé-Coll (II/19) . With its "art nouveau" buffet featuring a 16' Montre on the front, this organ has 2 consoles. The first, placed on the tribune, is mechanical and has 2 keyboards (Grand-Orgue and Swell) of 61 notes and a pedal of 32 notes, it makes speak 34 real stops. The second is mobile with electric transmissions, placed on a side stand and has 3 keyboards (an expressive positive keyboard in addition) of 61 notes and pedal of 32 notes. It has 256 combinations, 16 tutti and 2 programmable crescendo pedals. In addition to the previous 34 stops, it is expected to eventually make talk of an additional fifteen stops not yet installed today, including a 32' soubasse and a 32' contra-bombarde on the pedal. Note that the trumpet arranged in chamade speaks only from the electric console.Text : Thierry Correard
This was built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and offers the most original interior architecture with its imposing exposed metal frame painted in grey. It is the work of the architect Jules Astruc whose style seems particularly influenced by those of Gustave Eiffel and Victor Baltard. The metal structure is imposing to say the least: length: 40 m, height of the central part: 20 m and a weight of 135 tons.
